OC Facial Expression Practice [Brenna]

I’ve been meaning to practice drawing my OC, Brenna, with different facial expressions and now I finally did. These are my notes on her facial expressions (because I have problems with drawing consistently >_< ).

bee-express-1
Neutral

In a neutral position, her eyebrows are slightly rounded (low arch) and her mouth is usually set in a straight line

bee-express-2
Happy

Eyebrows arch slightly higher, her lower eyelids arch very slightly upwards (white space between the iris and lower lids disappear) and the corners of her mouth tilts up

bee-express-3
Very Happy

Eyebrows arch more pronounced, eyes squints in upward arch. Smile with teeth showing, her grin is slightly boxy XD

bee-express-4
Sad/Worried

Brows furrow slightly, straight but with a subtle arch, lower eyelids arch very slightly upwards (white space between the iris and lower lids disappear) and the corners of her mouth tilts down

bee-express-5
Very Sad

Brows slant upwards, eyes closed in sorrow with tears streaming down, she usually bites her lower lip to keep herself from bawling or sobbing

bee-express-6
Angry/Displeased

Eyebrows slant down and the corners of her mouth slightly tilts down (or not at all). The disappointment is in her eyes XD

bee-express-7
Mad

Eyebrows slant down and furrow hard enough for crease to appear between eyebrows, tears well in her eyes because she’s the type who ends up crying when she’s too angry and her teeth is often clenched in an effort to refrain from saying angry words

bee-express-8
Embarrassed

Brows furrow slightly, straight but with a subtle arch, refuses to make eye contact, looking to the side (usually to her right), cheeks flush very noticeably since she’s pale and her mouth is pressed tightly closed

bee-express-9
Relaxed/Content

Eyebrows arch slightly higher, eyes usually closed in relaxation and the corners of her mouth tilts up

bee-express-10
Skeptical

One eyebrow furrows while one arch slightly higher, slanting down, one eye squints while the other widens and her mouth is usually pressed in a straight line
